The Spirit

When I was younger I looked at the stars, I looked at the moon,
I dreamed of flying, of changing the world, hoping it would be soon,
There were times when I would go off alone, to my humble solitude,
As a kid I would think about life, and inventing things too.
I was a curious kid, always snooping, watching, tinkering,
And I've had my fair share of dangers, like death was lingering.
Through light sockets, outlets, gasoline, firecrackers and climbing trees,
Many many accidents befell me, but through it all my spirit kept me free.
